Day 2 & 3

So sorry for not updating yesterday on what Day #2 held for us..but here goes...

Day #2 for Tracie / Day #1 for Alan
After the 1st day of getting used to the change in diet and realizing how much I missed fresh, healthy foods, day #2 came much easier. The day consisted of:
  • a yogurt and an orange for breakfast
  • a salad with roasted turkey breast and a teensy bit of fat free dressing
  • some mini rice cakes for a snack
  • grilled chicken with whole wheat pasta and a cup of marinara for dinner (Alan also had a salad as his 4th veggie)
Alan was on disk #1 of his exercise and had a blast..not too painful, but definitely whipped his butt! I on the other hand did my 200 crunches, 150 squats, and 100 push ups and feel fabulous!

We also got to watch the Blind Side and call it an early night..HIGHLY recommend that movie!

Day #3 for Tracie / Day #2 for Alan
The morning started very early for the both of us and seemed to be a very "go, go go" day. The new diet seems to be settling in just fine for the both of us. Alan snacks during the day to keep the tummy rumbling down and has his super healthy lunch and I dive into work to distract my mind from the adjustments that my body is going through.

Today consisted of:
  • yogurt for breakfast (was too busy for the apple today)
  • a salad with roasted turkey breast again (I swear I can eat this all day and it will never get old)
  • cute little tofu cubes
  • a 1/2 of a rockstart (I was DYING so I decided to cash in my drink allowance)
  • mini rice cakes for a snack
  • rosemary chicken, sweet onion, and mushroom kabobs with grilled basil red potatoes
Alan's exercise kicked his a** today. He came downstairs dripping..and I really mean dripping..in sweat. It was plyometrics day! He loved every minute of it and admitted to not being able to do all of the reps (I think that's what it's called)..what a true man :)
